Who We Are

Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote the optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers.

History of Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers National Center is an international nonprofit organization.  It was founded in 1984 in Missouri, and the National Center is still in St. Louis.  Nationally Parents as Teachers serves over 195,000 children in 50 states, more than 100 Tribal organizations, school and communities, 5 other countries, and 1 U.S. Territory.

Natrona County Parents as Teachers Affiliate started enrolling families October 1, 2013.  At that time there was 1 parent educator serving 15 families. We are now serving 2 counties; Fremont and Natrona with a total of 7 Family Support Specialists and 2 supervisors.

Natrona is currently serving up to 18 Spanish speaking families, and 37 English speaking families.

Fremont is currently serving up to 36 English speaking families.

We are currently enrolling families in both counties!
