History of Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers National Center is an international nonprofit organization.  It was founded in 1984 in Missouri, and the National Center is still in St. Louis.  Nationally Parents as Teachers serves over 195,000 children in 50 states, more than 100 Tribal organizations, school and communities, 5 other countries, and 1 U.S. Territory.

Natrona County Parents as Teachers Affiliate started enrolling families October 1, 2013.  At that time there was 1 parent educator serving 15 families.  We now have 1 supervisor and 3 parent educators serving a minimum of 45 families.  From September 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017 we have served over 50 families.  We are actively enrolling new families.
